Level 3 NVQ Childcare and Early Years Education
With a rich blend of personal and professional experience, I bring a calm confidence that comes from living this world every day. That lived experience strengthens everything I do in my professional practice.
Across my 16 year nursery career, I’ve supported children from babies through to preschoolers. My knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) influences my ability to create safe, engaging, and developmentally rich spaces.

How I Develop
My approach is highly child‑led and play‑based, following each child’s interests while gently supporting their next steps in learning. Through imaginative play, stories, creative activities, outdoor adventures and calm daily routines, I create meaningful opportunities for children to develop confidence, independence and curiosity.
I work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting all seven areas of learning in ways that feel fun, engaging and age‑appropriate. As a small home‑from‑home setting, children benefit from close attention, thoughtful observation and nurturing support, including those with additional needs.
I believe strong partnerships with parents are key. I use Tapestry to help keep you involved in your child’s time at Little Home Learners. I share observations, photos and updates about what your child has been enjoying, learning and getting up to throughout the day.
You can also use Tapestry to share things from home with me - whether that’s a new achievement, something they have been interested in or simply something they have enjoyed doing together. By sharing observations, celebrating achievements and communicating openly, I can ensure learning continues seamlessly between home and my setting.
