Nutrition: Fuelling Growing Minds

Nurse-Led Nutrition | Organic Ingredients | Dietitian Approved

Food is more than just fuel; it is the foundation of development. We understand the critical role that nutrition plays in early brain development, immune health, and energy levels. That is why we have partnered with the award-winning Lune & Wild to provide our daily meals.

Rather than relying on standard processed freezer food, we have invested in a catering partner that shares our high standards.

  • 100% Organic Ingredients: No pesticides, no nasties. Just real food.

  • Handmade by Chefs: Meals are hand-prepared in small batches, not mass-produced in factories.

  • Pediatric Dietitian Approved: Every menu is balanced to ensure your child gets the vital iron, protein, and vitamins they need for their specific development stage.

  • Frozen for Freshness: Flash-frozen immediately after cooking to lock in nutrients without the need for artificial preservatives.

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Early Years Foundation Stage Infographic

EYFS is the national framework that guides how childcare providers support a child’s learning and development from birth to age five. It sets out the standards all nurseries, preschools, childminders, and reception classes follow to ensure children receive consistent, high‑quality care during these important early years.

What the EYFS Is All About

The EYFS acts as a clear structure for helping young children grow, learn, and feel secure. It’s built around the idea that children learn best through meaningful play — exploring, experimenting, and interacting with the world around them.

The framework highlights seven key areas of learning that early years settings nurture every day:

  • Communication and Language: Building confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding others.

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Helping children develop independence, resilience, and positive relationships.

  • Physical Development: Supporting movement, coordination, and healthy habits.

  • Literacy: Introducing early reading, mark‑making, and a love of stories.

  • Mathematics: Encouraging curiosity about numbers, shapes, patterns, and problem‑solving.

  • Understanding the World: Exploring people, places, nature, and everyday experiences.

  • Expressive Arts and Design: Giving children opportunities to be creative through art, music, role play, and imaginative activities.

By following the EYFS, early years environments become places where children feel safe, inspired, and ready to explore - giving them the best possible start in life.

Our Daily Routine

Our daily routine provides a gentle structure to the day and is followed flexibly to meet the individual needs of each child. We recognise that every child is different, particularly when it comes to sleep, rest and energy levels, and we adapt our routine accordingly.

There may also be times when our routine looks slightly different, for example when we plan outings such as trips to the zoo or other local attractions. On these days, children’s needs for rest, meals and comfort remain our priority.

Nappies are checked regularly throughout the day and changed as needed.
